On January 4th 2018, we were informed of a security breach impacting x86 and ARM CPUs. Named Meltdown, this breach concerns most modern CPUs and allows malicious software to steal processed data on the system. Programs are not usually allowed to read other programs' data, however this breach allows them to read stored data in memory while they are running. The content of the stolen data can include sensitive data like stored passwords, personal photos, emails, instant messages and critical documents.
Therefore, since January 8th 2018, we have been running numerous updates to fix the Meltdown security breach on our infrastructure. The VPS infrastructure has been updated on January 8th, and the GAME infrastructure (ARK, Starbound, Minecraft) has been updated between January 9th and January 11th. However, and depending on the applied updates by our teams, there may be new updates to be applied in the following weeks. We will communicate about these updates through our social networks, which you can read on the homepage of your panel.
We are very sorry about the downtime caused by these updates, however security is a main concern and a necessity for both our customers and us.
